Kellen R. Grayson is a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and specializes in depression, relationship issues, trauma, and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Grayson offers individual, couples, and family therapy. He is especially interested in the long term effects of individual depression and mood disorders effecting functioning related to changes in motivation, achievement and resilience. Dr. Grayson has worked with adults and adolescents with severe trauma, depression, and psychiatric disorders.  A variety of life problems or events like chronic pain, a major illness, a death in the family, a loss of a job, or a divorce can unexpectedly contribute to daily stress and cause a lack of pleasure in life. Therapy can encourage and help you understand the behaviors, emotions, and ideas that contribute to your struggles. Through successful treatment, you will be able to regain a sense of control and pleasure in life and to learn coping techniques and problem-solving skills.
Therapy is Social Activism

Dr. Grayson provides therapy as an advocate and activist dedicated to social justice. He integrates social justice with mental health services including psychotherapy, community mental health, and change in systems. Through psychotherapy his mission is to organize and implement therapeutic interventions that motivate clients to move from unconscious to conscious, to look at how the macro levels of oppression effect the individual, to move from depression and helplessness to empowerment and to learn how to deal with the effects of microagressions without internalizing and identifying with those aggressions.
